“…The scientific literature sustains the use of probiotics in a broad range of pathologies (enteric-related ones being most studied) with positive results, in several ways of action (decreasing intestinal pH, lowering colonization and multiplication of pathogens, metabolites, boosting the host immune response, bind toxins) [ 10 , 19 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30 ].
