The article proposes an original approach to the protection of forestry machines from overloads when using a friction material made of pressed wood. The use of compressed wood is an environmentally important aspect in the manufacture of friction materials for safety devices of forestry machines. This approach contributes to the development of green technologies in forestry engineering and ensures an increase in the environmental friendliness of logging operations. However, from an environmental point of view, self-ignition of pressed wood must be avoided. The definition of the transmitted and adjusting torque in relation to the frictional safety clutch is considered. It is noted that when the safety device slips, the friction material made of pressed wood will wear out unevenly, in the form of a wedge, if the working width of the contacting surfaces is large. A diagram of the calculated friction clutch is presented, as well as a diagram of the pressure fuse block, from which it can be seen how the rubber rings are not deformed in the same way due to their difference in diameters. It is noted that for forestry machines operating with frequent overloads, it is necessary to take into account the dynamic loads that occur during overload at the moment the fuse is triggered.

The paper presents data on the resource and wear of the gears of agricultural tractor transmissions, on the basis of which the research problem and the novelty of the proposed methodology are formulated, based on the development and application of the stress state model of the gear, taking into account surface hardening. The methodology and calculation scheme for determining the power parameters of gearing are described in detail. In this case, the dependences and results of previous studies in the field of increasing the durability and reducing the wear of gears of transmission elements of vehicles of various functional purposes were used. To achieve this goal, the mathematical models of the stress state of gears are constructed without the presence of an external diffusion hardening coating and with a coating. Based on the simulation of the process of interaction of rubbing pairs of gears, the distribution of stresses in the contact zone over the surface layer of non-hardened and cemented to a depth of 1 mm gears, as well as the dependence of deflection on the thickness of the cemented layer and the deformation of the cemented layer during operation was established. Considering the research results given in literature, as well as those obtained on the basis of our own research, it should be noted that the analysis of gear stress state is an important direction in the study of the durability of gear units, the entire gearbox, and other gears of tractor transmissions and automotive technology at the present time. At the same time, the actual task is to establish the ratios of the allowable wear of gears and the limiting value of displacement of the centre distance, taking into account changes in the stress state scheme when using various types of coatings.

Evaluation of Agricultural Machinery Using Multi-Criteria Analysis Methods

To achieve the highest possible agricultural production, it is necessary to procure the appropriate agricultural machinery. A tractor is the most useful machine in agriculture that performs various functions. Therefore, the selection of a tractor is one of the key decisions in the agriculture-production process. This study aims to evaluate heavy tractors for agricultural production in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since this is a selection between different tractors, which are evaluated using several criteria, the methods of multi-criteria analysis (MCDA) were used in this study. Five different methods were used to determine the weight of the criteria, of which a modified standard-deviation method is a new method used in practice, while the tractor ranking was performed using the CRADIS (compromise ranking of alternatives from distance to ideal solution) method. The results showed that the best-ranked tractor is A4, while the most deviations from the ranking occur when the entropy method is used. The contribution of this study is in the systematization of the methods for the objective determination of the criteria weights and the development of new methods to facilitate decision-making in agriculture and other industries.
