This study presents the analysis and calculation of the bearing capacity of reinforced concrete members according to the limit balance method, applying the European standard EN 1992-1-2. Most of the design standards in Vietnam only specify the fire resistance level depending on the thickness of the protective concrete layer and the minimum size of the section without mentioning the influence of other factors, such as mechanical and physical characteristics of concrete and reinforcement at high temperature, as well as there is no specific guideline for designing refractory reinforced concrete structures. Therefore, the study and application of foreign standards are very necessary for structural design in fire conditions in Vietnam. There are many parameters affecting the fire-bearing capacity of reinforced concrete columns, it can be seen that the bearing capacity increases as the u% of reinforcement content increases, when the protective concrete layer to the reinforcement axis increases; the bearing capacity decreases as the burning time increases.
