Improving and extending activities of university and research libraries in Iran: the role of Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology (Irandoc)

“…A look at the history of successful organizations in this area shows that in most cases the activities of an organization to improve and extend the activities of libraries are functions of an association or an NGO. Research findings of Rajabali Beglou and Akhshik (2020) also indicated that Iranian Research Institute for Information Science & Technology (Irandoc) has some activities that national and international organizations or associations usually support or perform. Furthermore, regardless of similarity of institutions, the CAUL as an association bears more similarity with in the activities performed by the Irandoc in improving and expanding these libraries.…”
