Abstract:Regeneration of boreal forests in Sweden mainly involves planting Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) seedlings on clear-cut areas, although there is an increasing interest in planting broadleaves and in applying continuous cover forestry (CCF).
