“…Despite considerable research on information literacy the evidence of effectiveness is mixed, particularly when trying to assess whether learning is retained long term. Starr (2012) emphasises that more research is required on the effective timing of input of information literacy instruction, format, type of collaboration with faculty, as well as consistent longitudinal assessment of learning outcomes for students.
