This study aims, firstly to determine the effect of the Group Investigation learning model on social skills. Second, to find out the effect of the Group Investigation learning model on the understanding of the social-cultural interaction material for fifth grade elementary school students in Jumoyo village, Magelang regency. This study uses a Pre-Experimental research type One-Group Pretest-Posttest design with a sample size of 12 students. The sampling technique used is Purposive Sampling. Data collection using social skills questionnaires, pretest and posttest questions understanding of socio-cultural interaction material. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study was assisted by using SPSS version 25 to calculate validity, reliability, discriminating power, and level of difficulty. Test the validity of the social skills questionnaire using the Scale, while for the pretest and posttest questions using the Product Moment correlation, and the reability of the instrument using Cronbach’s Alpha. The data analysis technique in this study used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov analysis prerequisite test and hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon. Based on hypothesis testing, it shows firstly there is an effect of the Group Investigation learning model on social skills with the results of 0,002 < 0,05 with the value of Z is -3,065. Second, there is an effect of Group Investigation learning model on the understanding of socio-cultural interaction material with the result of 0,002 < 0,05 with the value of Z is -3,063. Based on the data obtained, it can be conculed that the Group Investigation learning model has an effect on socio skills and understanding of socio-cultural interaction material for fifth grade elementary school students in Jumoyo village, Salam district.
Penelitian ini bertujuan, pertama untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap Keterampilan Sosial. Kedua, untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap Pemahaman Materi Interaksi Sosial Budaya Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Desa Jumoyo, Kabupaten Magelang. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Pre-Experimental tipe One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan jumlah sampel penelitian 12 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Angket Keterampilan Sosial, soal pretest dan posttest Pemahaman Materi Interaksi Sosial Budaya. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu Purposive sampling. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dibantu dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 25 guna menghitung uji validitas, reliabilitas, daya beda, dan tingkat kesukaran. Uji validitas Angket Keterampilan Sosial menggunakan Scale, sedangkan untuk soal pretest dan posttest menggunakan korelasi Product Moment, serta reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji prasyarat analisis Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menunjukkan, pertama terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap Keterampilan Sosial dengan hasil 0,002 < 0,05 dengan nilai Z -3,065. Kedua, terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap Pemahaman Materi Interaksi Sosial Budaya dengan hasil 0,002 < 0,05 dengan nilai Z -3,063. Berdasarkan data hasil yang telah diperolah disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Group Investigation berpengaruh terhadap Keterampilan Sosial dan Pemahaman Materi Interaksi Sosial Budaya siswa kelas V di Desa Jumoyo, Kecamatan Salam.
