Improving the properties of mild steel by ternary multilayer composite coating via electrodeposition route

Abstract: ABSTRACT.A wide range of metal-oxides exhibit fascinating properties and multiple functionalities that could address challenge of physical and mechanical deterioration of materials in service. In this study, Zn-ZrO2, Zn-SiC and Zn-ZrO2-SiC composite coating was fabricated from zinc based sulphate electrolyte at constant current density, depth of immersion, distance between anode and cathode with time of deposition. The effect of particle on the physical behaviour of the coating was examined by coating gauge te… Show more

“…In contrast, Al and Mo showed the lowest potentials. Only Ni 50 Fe 40 Co 10 and Ni 50 Fe 40 Cr 10 alloys showed a short region of active to passive. Nevertheless, Ni 50 Fe 40 Al 10 alloy showed the lowest corrosion rate ) in 3.5% NaCl.…”

“…In Figure 2, broad bands are observed in the region 0.2-1.5 V which suggests the intense passive regions for the alloys at diverse current densities. The results in Table 2 10 (X= Ta < Co < Cr < Ti < Mo < Al).…”
