Improving the quality of electricity in the power supply systems of the mineral resource complex with hybrid filter-compensating devices

Abstract: The urgency and necessity of choosing and justifying the structures of hybrid filter-compensating devices based on series and parallel active filters to improve the quality of electricity in the power supply systems of enterprises of the mineral resource complex is shown. Mathematical models of hybrid filter compensating devices based on parallel and series active filters have been developed. Based on these mathematical models, computer simulation models of the indicated hybrid structures have been developed. … Show more

“…Evaluation of the technical condition and resource of unit was carried out using ANN as an assessment for the possibility of failure-free ED functioning. Determination of the probability for failure-free ED operation can be represented as the construction of Equation (1). It is based on the retrospective database with the requirements for the relative error, or for limit of the confidence period of prediction λ at p ≥ 95%-less than 5% [30].…”

“…Prospects for the development of enterprises in the fuel, energy and mineral resources industries in the context of growing economic, environmental and technical requirements are associated with an increase in the efficiency of electromechanical equipment. Such devices, including electric motors and electric drives (ED), account for up to 85% [1][2][3] of electricity consumption and are the main production unit in automated and robotic systems.…”

“…The power supply industry is no exception. Automated electric drives are getting to become a major part of any industry, and their efficiency defines the growth and development strategy for companies [ 4 , 5 ]. The digital transformation of the energy sector is rapidly bringing new solutions to the market [ 6 , 7 ].…”

“…The experiments in this paper have been performed only on model data. According to the simplified structure of the power supply system (Figure 1), its simulation model (Figure 5), consisting of mathematical models of an induction motor [40,41], nonlinear load [42] and filter-compensating device [43] is implemented. This simulation model (Figure 5) includes models of three induction motors.…”
