Abstract:This article compares the properties of the diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating with those of ZrN and (Zr,Hf)N coatings deposited on the Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy substrate. To improve substrate adhesion during the deposition of the DLC coating, preliminary etching with chromium ions was conducted, ensuring the formation of a chromium-saturated diffusion surface layer in the substrate.
