Improving tribological and anti-corrosion properties of 316L stainless steel in multi-environment by carbon-rich CrC nanocomposite coating

Abstract: Improving the surface properties of a material is an important method that extends the service life of machine parts under harsh condition in multi-environment. In this study, carbon-rich CrC coating was deposited on 316L stainless steel using multi-arc ion plating to improve its protective properties.
