Zwitterionic polymer coatings facilitate the formation of hydration layers via electrostatic interactions on their surfaces and have demonstrated efficacy in preventing biofouling. They have emerged as a promising class of marine antifouling materials. However, designing multifunctional, environmentally friendly, and natural products-derived zwitterionic polymer coatings that simultaneously resist biofouling, inhibit protein adhesion, exhibit strong antibacterial properties, and reduce algal adhesion is a significant challenge. This study employed two diisocyanates as crosslinkers and natural urushiol and ethanolamine as raw materials. The coupling reaction of diisocyanates with hydroxyl groups was employed to synthesize urushiol-based precursors. Subsequently, sulfobetaine moieties were introduced into the urushiol-based precursors, developing two environmentally friendly and high-performance zwitterionic-functionalized polyurushiol antifouling coatings, denoted as HUDM-SB and IPUDM-SB. The sulfobetaine-functionalized polyurushiol coating exhibited significantly enhanced hydrophilicity, with the static water contact angle reduced to less than 60°, and demonstrated excellent resistance to protein adhesion. IPUDM-SB exhibited antibacterial efficacy up to 99.9% against common Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli and V. alginolyticus) and Gram-positive bacteria (S. aureus and Bacillus. sp.). HUDM-SB achieved antibacterial efficacy exceeding 95.0% against four bacterial species. Furthermore, the sulfobetaine moieties on the surfaces of the IPUDM-SB and HUDM-SB coatings effectively inhibited the growth and reproduction of algal cells by preventing microalgae adhesion. This zwitterionic-functionalized polyurushiol coating does not contain antifouling agents, making it a green, environmentally friendly, and high-performance biomaterial-based solution for marine antifouling.

The urge to protect the deteriorating ecosystem is compelling us to develop environmental‐friendly materials. In this paper, three different kinds of waterborne polyacrylate emulsions were synthesized with different hard, soft and hydroxyl‐containing functional monomers by semi‐continuous seed emulsion polymerization. Moreover, the influences of different monomers on the performances such as viscosity, adhesion, surface tension, particle size, stability, and contact angle were also investigated. Attractively, conclusions were deduced that with the growth of the monomer's alkyl chain length, the viscosity gradually increases and the surface tension gradually decreases. On the other hand, different functional monomers also have effect on the properties of the synthesized acrylic emulsions. Then the synthesized water‐based acrylic emulsions were used as binders for water‐based inks, the adhesion as well as initial dryness were tested and the recipe for water‐based ink with better performances was selected out. Our work maybe ignites a spark for the designation of acrylic emulsions for water‐based inks binders.

Aconitum Brachypodum Diels (AB) is a plant of Aconitum L. The dried roots of AB have analgesic and anti-in ammatory activity. However, the processing is required to reduce toxicity before use because of its high toxicity. Studies on the toxicity, pharmacodynamics, and chemical composition of processed Aconitum Brachypodum Diels. (PAB) are still lacking at present. In this study, the composition changes of AB and PAB were determined by UPLC-QE-Orbitrap-MS. The intensity of diester alkaloids was greatly reduced, while the monoester alkaloids were signi cantly increased. An acute toxicity experiment was used to evaluate the toxicity differences between AB and PAB, while the acetic acid-induced writhing pain experiment and croton oil-induced ear edema experiment were applied to evaluate the analgesic and antiin ammatory properties. The acute toxicity test of AB showed that the median lethal dose (LD50) was 1.37 g / kg, while the maximum tolerance of PAB was 30.0 g/kg. It was apparent that the toxicity of PAB was signi cantly reduced. The alkaloid component of PAB could signi cantly inhibit the mice's ear edema and signi cantly reduce the number of mice writhing. Based on the above ndings, 10 compounds, including songoramine (1), neoline (2), bullatine C (3), dihydroatisine (4), bullatine A (5), maltol (6), 15-Oacetylsongorine (7), 15-O-acetylsongoramine (8), songorine (9), and aldohypaconitine (10) were separated and identi ed from the alkaloid component of PAB. Compounds 4, 6, 8, and 10 were rstly separate from Aconitum. Finally, molecular docking to anti-in ammatory analgesic target protein was carried out. The results showed that the 10 compounds and target proteins had good binding capabilities, wherein 15-O-acetylsongoramine could interact with the key protein Akt1 of Pi3k-Akt pathway and adjust the downstream NF-κB critical pathway to play an anti-in ammatory analgesic effect.
