In-111 RADYONÜKLİDİNİN ÜRETİMİ ÜZERİNE

Abstract

Many radionuclides are used in nuclear medicine applications either for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. In-111 is one of the mostly used radionuclide in nuclear medicine application for diagnostic purpose. Mainly, white blood cells are labelled with In-111 to search relatively new infections. In-111 is mostly produced in such a way that silver or cadmium target are bombarded with alpha or proton. On the other hand, the number of heavy-ion fusion evaporation reactions facility is rising with respect to the past and there can be found some proposals for production of In-111 by using heavy-ion fusion evaporation reactions. In the present study, some heavyion fusion evaporation reaction paths for production of In-111 radionuclide are discussed. PACE and HIVAP nuclear reaction codes have been used for investigation of production cross sections of In-111 in various possible reaction channels. It should be noted that chemical separation of In-111 among produced nuclei after reaction are not considered in the present study. Yield ratios of In-111 radionuclide in specific reactions are carried out as a function of beam energy and discussed in detail by comparing previous studies and available experimental data.
