Abstract:How can cities manage the transition of informal settlements to sustainable, prosperous and healthy neighborhoods in a fast‐changing urban and dynamic landscape? How can they balance urban development, poverty reduction, and sustainability? How can they manage the extreme contrasts and potential conflicts between adjacent high‐income residencies, tourist centers, and informal low‐income settlements?
