Abstract:The CP-violating ratio and the top-quark mass are estimated using the value of | v ub v cb | extracted in the framework of the Altarelli-Cabbibo-Corbo-Maiani-Martinelli model along with the statistical model. It has been suggested that Cabbibo-Kobyaschi-Masakawa matrix elements play an important role in determining the value of ; the enhanced value of can be obtained without lowering the strange-quark mass.
