“…23 Some problems exist for photocatalytic H 2 O 2 production of pristine PCN, such as fourelectron O 2 reduction reaction, limited oxygen-capture ability, and H 2 O 2 production hindrance by the strong recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. 24,25 Recently, different strategies, including the modication of PCN with MXene (Ti 3 C 2 ) or carbon materials, 26,27 generation of carbon or nitrogen vacancies, 17,28,29 the addition of cationic surfactant, 30 and elemental or molecular doping, [31][32][33][34][35] have been developed to increase the photocatalytic activity of PCN toward producing H 2 O 2 . Despite some of them having achieved excellent photocatalytic activity, the modied PCN strategies are still inadequate, because O 2 needs to be continuously pumped in the process of reaction.…”

“…The transient photovoltage (TPV) was measured to better clarify the mechanism of CdS-1 photocatalytic water splitting to produce H 2 O 2 . 27,38 As shown in Fig. 5(e), the photocurrent intensity of CdS-1 is much higher than that of CdS-0, indicating that the surface of CdS-1 has a greater charge concentration and that the surface of CdS-1 has a greater charge concentration and higher electron–hole separation efficiency.…”

“…In order to explore the catalytic mechanism of DAnTMS and DAnTMS/CDs, ex situ TPV measurements were carried out. As shown in Figure a, the rate of the charge recombination process of the catalysts is estimated through the attenuation constants (τ). , Although the intensity of photovoltage of DAnTMS/CDs is lower than that of DAnTMS, it has a larger τ value (τ 2 = 0.10231 ms), which is almost twice the τ value of DAnTMS (τ 2 = 0.05474 ms), suggesting that CDs slowed the charge recombination process. Figure b shows that DAnTMS exhibits a faster charge extraction process ( t max1 ) compared with that of DAnTMS/CDs ( t max2 ), implying that CDs also slow the extraction of charges.…”
