“…Recently, natural active compounds originating from medicinal plants have been exploited as promising antifungal and antibiofilm agents against C. albicans , owing to their abundant sources ( Atanasov et al., 2021 ). Some studies have suggested that natural plant compounds affect important biofilm virulence factors, including the inhibition of biofilm formation, adhesion, promotion of biofilm cell detachment, and dispersion of established mature biofilms ( Lu et al., 2019 ; Park et al., 2019 ).
