Abstract: Cardiac remodeling, hypertrophy, and alterations in calcium signaling are changes of the heart that often lead to failure. After a hypertrophic stimulus, the heart progresses through a state ofcompensated hypertrophy which over time leads to decompensated hypertrophy or failure.
