In vitro study on the antitumor activity of several new polyoxometalates

Abstract: Polyoxometalates ( POMs ) are negatively charged clusters consisting of transition metals and oxygen atoms. There are two general types of POM activity, antiviral and antitumoral, have dominated the medicinal chemistry of these compounds. Based on synthesized four different kind of POMs, [Ce(H 2 O) 7 Cr(OH) 6 Mo 6 O 18 ] n ·4nH 2 O, [Sm(H 2 O) 7 Cr(OH) 6 Mo 6 O 18 ] n ·4nH 2 O, Eu(H 2 O) 7 Cr(OH) 6-Mo 6 O 18 ] n ·4nH 2 O, and K 6 [P 2 W 18 O 62 ]·14H 2 O, we investigate their antitumor effect in vitro.
