In vitro susceptibility to rhinovirus infection is greater for bronchial than for nasal airway epithelial cells in human subjects

Abstract: Background-Human rhinoviruses (HRVs) characteristically cause upper respiratory tract infection but they also infect the lower airways causing acute bronchitis and exacerbating asthma.
