In Vivo Biocompatibility of a Novel Expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene Suture for Annuloplasty

Abstract: Background Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) is a suture material for annuloplasty in aortic valve repair. For this particular application, it should induce minimal local stress and promote rapid tissue incorporation.
