In Vivo Bioimaging Analysis of Stromal Vascular Fraction-Assisted Fat Grafting

Abstract: The results showed that SVF-assisted fat graft had significantly higher survival rate than that transplanted alone. Moreover, our research demonstrated that interaction between grafted fat and SVFs was important in SVF's long-term living and differentiation.

“…Fifteen studies were identified in which immunodeficient animals were used. One study used rats [ 40 ] and the remaining studies used mice [ 11 , 15 , 18 20 , 40 49 ]. Dosage for cell enrichment ranged from 5 × 10 5 to 2 × 10 7 cells/ml of lipoaspirate.…”

“…Dosage for cell enrichment ranged from 5 × 10 5 to 2 × 10 7 cells/ml of lipoaspirate. In all studies, human tissue and cells were used [ 11 , 18 20 , 40 47 ] except for three in which rat [ 49 ] or mice [ 15 , 48 ] tissue and cells were used. The relative survival improvement for simple CAL ranged from 1.19- to 2.37-fold compared with their respective control group, which consisted of regular lipotransfer.…”

“…SVF obtained from liposuction is composed of many types cells, including mature fat cells, ASCs, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and pericytes; furthermore, ASCs can differentiate to lipoblasts or vascular endothelial cells [ 29 34 ]. Recent studies have confirmed that SVF can facilitate the rapid vascularization of fat transplants and in turn increase survival rates [ 35 38 ]. Liposuction and the mechanical emulsification method generate nanofat with a diameter of approximately 50-100 μm that can help fat transplants, particularly the cells in the center, connect effectively to the ASCs and cell factors in SVF.…”

“…[30][31][32] However, the findings of Zhou et al showed a positive interaction between the implanted stromal vascular fraction cells and the surrounding fat tissue. 33 We concluded that, in our experiment, bone marrow concentrate cells might be dealing with BMA, bone marrow aspirate; BMC, bone marrow concentrate; PBS, phosphate-buffered saline; NS, not significant. *Data are presented in terms of mean ± SD.…”
