Incertidumbre laboral en el trabajo en plataformas digitales: gramáticas para su comprensión en Colombia

Abstract

Objective. To analyze job uncertainty in digital platform workers in Colombia. Method. Descriptive qualitative study and non-probabilistic sampling, through the application of a survey. Job uncertainty was addressed through an open-ended question about the future existence of the current job; the answer was processed using content analysis and descriptive statistics. Results. Workers perceive that they will keep their current job. However, the level of specialization defines job certainty; the higher the specialization, the greater the professional opportunities and working conditions. From Schutz's perspective, the past and the present in the experience of working on platforms was discussed, framing the grammars of that future in the Colombian context. Conclusion. There is more certainty than uncertainty in these workers, and with it, the need to understand work in digital platforms using categories different from those related to traditional employment.
