“…Secondary to necrosis, the Falope ring method is aknost impossible to reverse and causes the most postoperative ischemic pain. Previous studies (Chi & Cole, 1979;Dobbs, Kumar, Alexander, & Hull, 1987;Pelland, 1977) lend support to the finding that pain following placement of Falope rings is associated with greater pain than with electrocoagulation or the Hulka clip.…”

“…Deep pelvic pain is the second type of pain and is attributable to the use of clips, rings or electrocoagulation to occlude the fallopian tubes. This pain, though severe, rarely persists for more than six hours postoperatively ( Alexander, 1997;Chi & Cole, 1979;Davis & Miller, 1988;Dobbs et al, 1987;Goldstein, 2000;Pelland, 1987). Incisional pain is the third type of pain, and is caused by frocar insertion into the abdomen.…”

“…Quando se utilizam anéis, a dor é secundária ao estrangulamento das tubas uterinas, levando a isquemia e espasmos 5 , e torna-se mais intensa nas primeiras horas do período PO, uma vez que fatores desencadeantes da dor se mantêm por tempo prolongado 17 . Para concluir, a associação da N-butilescopolamina e dipirona sódica com o cetoprofeno mostrou que é alternativa de analgesia PO, quando a laqueadura é realizada com a técnica de diatermia.…”

“…Our study, which was different from previous studies because we have used N-butylscopolamine and sodium dipirone associated to ketoprofen for post laparoscopic sterilization analgesia, has shown that this association was only able to promote satisfactory analgesia in patients submitted to diathermy, maybe because this technique triggers less severe pain. When rings are used, pain is secondary to tubal strangulation, leading to ischemia and spasms 5 , and becomes more severe in the first PO hours, since pain triggering factors are maintained for a long time 17 . In conclusion, N-butylscopolamine and sodium dipirone associated to ketoprofen are a PO analgesic alternative for sterilization with diathermy technique.…”

“…This would be consistent with previous studies that have shovm removal of insufflation gas at the end of procedure to greatly reduce this type of pain. Deep pelvic pain is the second type of pain, and rarely lasts for more than six hours postoperatively (Alexander, 1997;Chi & Cole, 1979;Davis & Miller, 1988;Dobbs et al, 1987;Goldstein et al, 2000;Pelland, 1987). None of the patients in this study reported deep pelvic or spasmodic/cramping pain.…”
