Abstract: Objectives: Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is a widely recognized and potentially fatal healthcare-related infection that occurs in all high-dependency units. Mechanically ventilated patients are at an elevated risk of developing VAP, which has a high death and morbidity rate.
