Incidência De Microrganismos Em Lotes De Sementes De Coentro Do Vale Do Submédio São Francisco/Incidence of Micro-Organisms in Lots of Coriander Seeds of the São Francisco Submediate Valley

Abstract

Coriander is an annual olive grove of great importance for Brazil, with emphasis on the commercialization of the North and Northeast regions of the country To maintain good productivity the use of quality seed is of paramount importance. The present work had as objective to verify the incidence of microorganisms associated to coriander seeds and the vigor of the same ones, coming from different batches of producers of the region of the Valley of the Submédio San Francisco. In this way an experiment was conducted in Juazeiro-BA in the Department of Technology of Social Sciences of the State University of Bahia in laboratory and greenhouse condition, analyzing the vigor and sanity characteristics of four seed lots in a completely randomized design A significant difference was observed between the lots analyzed under both controlled and field conditions, with better results obtained from commercially treated seeds and seeds from the Maniçoba district (lot 3) and at the end of the experiment were identified five genera of phytopathogenic fungi associated with coriander seeds produced in the region of the São Francisco Submediate Valley.
