Incidencia del senderismo en la economía local. Un análisis empírico a propósito del Parque Natural Sierra de las Nieves (Málaga)

Abstract: RESUMENSe analiza el senderismo en el P.N. Sierra de las Nieves, como una actividad turística productiva, tomando como fuente una encuesta a sus usuarios. Tras una caracterización de la zona de estudio, el trabajo se orienta a establecer, primeramente, el perfil de consumo de los senderistas, analizando sus caracteres sociales (edad, sexo, estatus social), y la forma cómo practican el senderismo dentro del Parque (recorridos, duración, consumo). “…At a higher level, cultural itineraries – as in the case of the Camino de Santiago – enrich the areas they pass through by integrating more ephemeral attractions in addition to the more tangible ones provided by the important architectural or scenic landmarks.
