Abstract:Ventral hernia is a common type of abdominal hernia. There are three types of ventral hernia: incisional hernia, spigelian hernia, and epigastric hernia. Traditionally, hernia repairs have been performed as open procedures. In the last decade, laparoscopic hernia repair has become popular.
