“…A baseline BMI of 35 to 40 is similar to previously identified mean BMI in other studies (eg, BMI of 33-40). 10,11,[14][15][16] A recent systematic review 17 of endoluminal revision for gastric bypass (including StomaphyX) concluded that more studies are needed to help identify appropriate treatment populations by standardizing criteria for identifying failure. Use of the limited BMI range in the current study will help to refine whether patients are appropriate for revisional surgery when they are in class II and III obesity categories.…”
