Abstract:We report on the performance studies of two correction methods, namely the efficiency-purity method and the Bayesian unfolding method applied to the pseudorapidity distribution of photons. The pseudorapidity distribution of inclusive photons at forward rapidities in the range (2.3 < η < 3.9) in p-Pb collisions at √ sNN = 8.16 TeV is obtained with the HIJING Monte Carlo event generator. The simulated data samples were obtained from the Photon Multiplicity Detector (PMD) in AL-ICE.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
