“…The geodynamic evolution of the São Gabriel Terrane is controlled by the closure of the Charrua Ocean that took place at 900-700 Ma, represented by outcrops of the mafic-ultramafic ocean floor in the Cerro Mantiqueira Complex (Arena, Hartmann, & Lana, 2016;Leite, Hartmann, McNaugton, & Chemale Jr., 1998;Tommasi et al, 1994), and its passive marginal basin unit in the Arroio Marmeleiro Complex (Philipp et al, 2021;Santos, Maciel, & Zir Filho, 1998). Associated with this ocean closure, arc-related units were formed, including those of this study, namely the Sanga da Cachoeira Complex (Laux, 2017), Imbicuí Complex (Philipp, Pimentel, & Basei, 2018), and the Cambaí Complex (Silva-Filho & Soliani Jr., 1987).…”
