Incorporación de criterios de circularidad en la herramienta C-Box para su aplicación en la docencia en Diseño de Productos

Abstract

One of the issues to be resolved by Design Engineering students is to obtain a large number of ideas in the initial design phase. Another issue is to know which of these ideas has the most potential over the others in terms of creativity and sustainability. This is complex, as they do not have a great deal of experience in establishing criteria for the evaluation and selection of the best conceptual proposals. Therefore, this work shows the experience made in the subject of Design Methodologies of the 3rd year of the Degree in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development at the Universitat Jaume I in the implementation of a game-based tool that helps to enhance the number of circular ideas and the subsequent evaluation of the novelty and feasibility of the same through the C-BOX technique. The contribution of this work is to incorporate circularity criteria within the C-BOX tool. In addition to classifying the ideas obtained according to the level of novelty and feasibility, it is easily visualized which ones meet circularity criteria. Finally, the students' opinion is collected to know if the session has been satisfactory and useful.
