This article aims to analyze cities located in the high mountain ecosystems formed by the landscape of Andenes or sustainable infrastructure of terraces located in the Ecuadorian and Peruvian Andean highlands of central South America. The selected case studies have in common the use of land for settlement purposes, and the fact that they pursue both urban and rural infrastructure sustainability approaches. Theoretical and empirical methods were used such as the historical-logical method, the inductive-deductive method, observation in situ and reviews of documents and maps. It is concluded that the anthropic interventions and the management and monitoring plans of each site allow for the conservation of their natural resources and of the landscape of Andenes, the improvement of the population's quality of life, the control of structural risk to prevent erosion of the mountains where they are constructed as well as the preservation of the site's globally significant cultural heritage (as recognised by UNESCO). Current trends in the sustainable use of cultural and natural resources of the heritage involve the conservation of terraced landscapes. Without their preservation, management or exploitation as a tourist resource cannot be carried out.

Objetivo: Analisar a percepção de inovação de valor gerada pela adoção e uso de um Sistema Integrado de Gestão de Atividades Acadêmicas – SIGAA em Universidades Públicas Brasileiras. Método: Trata-se de uma pesquisa aplicada, com objetivo exploratório-descritivo e abordagem multicasos quantitativa, envolvendo 15 universidades e 815 questionários elaborados com base no “radar da inovação de valor no setor público”, proposto por Martins et al. (2019). Resultados: Como resultado, tem-se a análise da inovação percebida por usuários do módulo "pós-graduação" do SIGAA em relação à acessibilidade, usabilidade, motivação, utilidade, presteza, satisfação, economia, governança, organização, impacto social, confiança e cultura. Conclusões: Concluiu-se que: i) os usuários, em sua maioria, percebem o sistema como uma simples ferramenta de automação de trabalho manual; ii) “Utilidade” é o fator que mais contribui para a percepção de inovação de valor; e iii) deve-se priorizar o redesenho de processos e módulos visando melhorias referentes à usabilidade, acessibilidade e motivação.

‘Education for Sustainable Development’ (ESD) drives priority to aligning education programmes for convergence of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Education agendas. This paper argues that, to this end, the importance of strategic, tactical and operational level changes and sustaining the human and material resources used to transform any kind of learning environments, should be factored into all institutional-wide strategies. In other words, this should be an integral aspect of the implementation of sustainability elements in institutional-wide activities. However, ideally, to fully establish the foundation for Sustainability, the range of activities by which ESD can be delivered should not be restricted but should be extended to building a society that values peace, equality, human rights, gender, environment and cultural diversity. This would assist furthering SDGs; however, to be effective, this approach requires the incorporation of a process like NUS Responsible Future Certification. The scope of this paper will therefore outline what whole-institution collaborative approach is, and then why it is relevant, considering how it may be used to contribute to a more sustainable future of the built environment education system. Document analysis research methodology was used to inform a theoretical conceptual framework for education system for sustainable development.
