Abstract:Light and dark field autoradiography of semithin sections prepared 6h after a treatment with APS showed that the incorporation of H3 -leucine into the cells of the convoluted tubules of the kidney was increased in mice. There was no difference in the H3-leucine incorporation in the liver, either in thrombocytopenic or inuntreated animals. The increased incorporation of leucine in the kidney in APS-induced thrombocytopenia showed coincidence with increased thrombopoietin production
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
