Increased frequency of the group 5a antigen in patients with hematologic malignancies

Abstract: We have confirmed our previously described finding that the group-5a antigen is associated with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In addition we have found that the 5a antigen has an increased frequency in patients with chronic lymphocytic lymphoma but not in patients with acute myelogenous leukemia, acute myelomonocytic leukemia. Hodgkin's disease or histiocytic lymphoma.
