Increased mRNA Expression of Key Cytokines Among Suspected Cases of Pneumocystis Jirovecii Infection

Abstract: Background: Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) is a fatal infectious disease caused by Pneumocystis jirovecii (PJP). The major factor relevant to morbidity and mortality seems to be the host inflammatory reaction.
