Abstract:Natural source zone depletion (NSZD) acts to reduce the mass and/or toxicity of light non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPL) in the shallow subsurface. Several indirect measurement techniques are commonly used to estimate LNAPL mass depletion based on CO

generation by hydrocarbon mineralisation, heat production by exothermic biodegradation processes, and sub-surface gas concentration gradients.
This paper presents data on LNAPL density and viscosity and shows changes t… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
