Increasing the range of ultra wideband radars based on antenna arrays

Abstract: Analytical and numerical solutions are presented for increasing the range of ultra wideband radars based on antenna arrays by optimizing their characteristics. It is shown that the shape of UWB pulses significantly affects the maximum value of the reflected signal. Solutions of variational problems of searching for the optimal shape of probing UWB pulses are investigated.
