Increasing the Structural Strength of Corrosion-resistant Steel for Elastic Components of Diaphragm Compressor

Abstract: The design features of diaphragm compressors are discussed in this article. For preventing the formation of local stresses in certain areas of the diaphragm, it is recommended to use thin sheet stainless steel of the transition class. A comparative analysis is made of two batches of steel tape, differing in the value of the saturation magnetic induction, which is identical to the content of the martensite phase in the structure of the material before the final cycle of cold plastic deformation. The results of … Show more

“…As a result, the degree of blocking of dislocations and resistance to the process of plastic deformation decreases, especially for steel after nitrocarburizing at a temperature of 550 °C. For example, if we compare the results of studying steel after cold plastic deformation (CPD) and CPD + aging at 470 °C, then fracture occurs after 7×10 5 cycles at 700 MPa [31], and after thermochemical treatment at 550 °C, destruction occurs after 1.5×10 6 cycles. That is, the durability of the material under equal loading conditions is twice as high.…”
