Abstract:Peritoneal dialysis is a medical procedure used to remove dialyzable (endogenous and exogenous) toxins, both in acute kidney injury and in chronic kidney disease. Each animal which has indication for peritoneal dialysis needs a rigorous clinical examination before the procedure, and also biochemical and haematological blood analyses, as well as urinalysis.
