Abstract:Coherent control and optical readout of the electron spin of the 29 SiVcenter in diamond has been demonstrated in literature, with exciting prospects for implementations as memory nodes and spin qubits. Nuclear spins may be even better suited for many applications in quantum information processing due to their long coherence times.
