“…Due to the low sensitivity of flame AAS, the tin determinations in real marine water samples were performed by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry, using zirconium-coated graphite tubes with L'vov platforms. The use of this kind of tube and modifier was studied in previous work (14,18) for the determination of tin in aqueous solutions. Graphite tubes with a L'vov platform were found to give the best results, and coating the tubes with zirconium avoided the use of a chemical modifier, which would be dissolved in an organic solvent and thus make the procedure more complicated, because the chemical modifiers usually utilized in ETAAS are in aqueous solutions.…”
