Indirect Induction Sintering of Metal Parts Produced through Material Extrusion Additive Manufacturing

Abstract: Avoiding loose powders and resins, material extrusion additive manufacturing is a powerful technique to produce near-net shape parts, being a cheap and safe alternative for developing complex industrial-grade products. Previous results [17] have demonstrated the capability of sintering MEAM metal parts using induction heating in a decoupled approach with an efficient concentration of energy, rendering dense bodies in only 6 min of soak time, as opposed to hours required by the traditional approach.
