Abstract: BackgroundIndomethacin is commonly used in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to induce closure of the patent ductus arteriosus and to prevent intraventricular hemorrhage. It is known that indomethacin causes intestinal ulceration in adults, but its effect in infants is less clear.
