These has been, for the case of Algeria as follows: i) the designers' point of view (Mehibel, Pitts, & Gao, 2014), ii) Climatic quantitative studies involving thermal and daylighting performances of the traditional courtyard (Benchekroun et al, 2019;Fezzioui et al, 2009;Ouahrani, 1993), and iii) the spatial arrangements' changes that occurred in the old houses as appeared in the new courtyard houses (Bousquet, 1983;Benslimane, Biara, & Bougdah, 2020).
