Abstract:Niobium pentoxide (Nb 2 O 5 ) is in the limelight as a negative electrode material for advanced electrical energy storage devices owing to its unique pseudocapacitive behavior. However, its intrinsic poor electronic conductivity restricts its electrochemical performance. In this study, argon-ion bombardment is employed to enhance the interfacial properties of the Nb 2 O 5 negative electrode by introducing highly conductive NbO x (1 ≤ x ≤ 2) species on the electrode surface. Detailed analysis by X-ray photoelec… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
