Abstract:− Active cardiovascular anaphylactic response was induced in ovalbumin-sensitized, pithed SpragueDawley and Wistar rats. On intravenous administration of the antigen, ovalbumin, marked tachycardia and pressor responses were immediately elicited. Thereafter, a delayed long-lasting severe hypotensive response was observed.
