Induction Pre-Heated Linear Friction Welding

Abstract: A two-level factorial design of experiments (DOE) approach is used to study the effect of four factors (average rubbing velocity, weld pressure, burn-off distance, and preheat temperature) on two response variables (weld strength and energy input) for the induction heating and linear friction welding of AISI 1020 steel.
