The article describes the challenges and success factors of implementing sustainability in the Bangladeshi textile industry. The main purpose was to identify the barriers and change them to success to maintain a satisfactory and pleasant environment in the industry. Implementing and ensuring sustainability in the Bangladeshi textile industry is a priority. The barriers and success factors of sustainability in Bangladeshi textile industry through a survey based was evaluated. The survey was carried out through questionnaires of managers in the Bangladeshi textile industry. The test was carried out at the producer level of the industry based on the three pillars of sustainability (social, economic, and environmental). The 5-point Likert scale was used to receive the responses. We surveyed a total of 26 people from 7 different factories. SPSS software was used to analyse the surveyed data and quantify the barriers and success factors of sustainability. Data were statistically analysed using reliability tests, multiple regression analysis, ANOVA, coefficients, regression equation development, and Pearson's correlation. The analysis illustrated the socio-environmental aspect as the most important predictor, while the environmental-economic and economic-social aspects were the least important to the managers of the Bangladeshi textile industry. The performance of any industry depends on the management and their way of handling situations. Our research goal was to find out the challenges that the management faces and what could be possible solutions for these challenges. The article shows the ways of finding out the existing barriers to sustainability by conducting a survey of the textile industry and the possible solutions to these barriers to ensure a better work environment. The article also shows how to keep the industry performance updated, improved, and satisfactory. The report would be beneficial to the Bangladesh textile industry administration to identify industry barriers to implementing sustainability and changing it to success.

A utilização dos corantes na indústria têxtil desencadeia a contaminação dos seus efluentes e seu descarte sem tratamento prévio gera impactos ambientais. Para a imobilização e degradação das substâncias contaminantes, a técnica mais eficiente e seletiva é a adsorção, onde as moléculas do corante são removidas quando se aderem na superfície do adsorvente. A utilização de materiais de baixo custo provenientes de resíduos de materiais orgânicos, como casca de arroz, bagaço de cana-de-açúcar, sabugo de milho, caroço de açaí, casca de laranja, bagaço de frutas no geral in natura ou como carvão ativado são ótimos recursos para remoção de substâncias indesejadas. O objetivo do presente artigo é apresentar uma revisão de literatura sobre o estudo de adsorventes a partir de compostos orgânicos. A pesquisa foi realizada em periódicos de base nacional e internacional, dos últimos seis anos, sobre carvão ativado e biossorvente, com eficiência de, no mínimo 70% na remoção de corantes sintéticos. Nas informações disponibilizadas no levantamento apontam que a maioria dos materiais adsorventes alternativos apresenta eficiência alta quando comparada com carvão comercial ou outros, devido às boas propriedades morfológicas. Independentemente dos tratamentos físico-químicos, a viabilidade dos adsorventes é comprovada com as análises realizadas.

A severe threat to natural resources and human livelihood is groundwater scarcity. Therefore, mapping groundwater potentiality (GWP) is necessary for future resource management. In this article, a framework for conducting ensemble modeling is introduced. This framework will be used to map GWP at the national level under the climate change scenario. Thirteen elements linked to topography, geology, hydrology, and land cover, as well as six climatic indicators based on historical time series data, were used to map the GWP. To provide extremely reliable groundwater potentiality mapping, three traditional standalone machine learning techniques such as logistic model tree (LMT), logistic regression (LR), and artificial neural network (ANN) have been merged with a stacking ensemble framework. Using the empirical and binormal receiver operating characteristic curves, the GWP mapping has been validated (ROC curve). According to research, Bangladesh's major rivers run along the high GWP zones in the country's southern and central regions. Additionally, the validation using the ROC curve demonstrates that the stacking model which had all three MLAs—performed better than other models (AUC: 0.971). The study may have a substantial impact on Bangladesh's national water planning and policy, which will be made using evidence. Additionally, the suggested method might be applied to map GWP on a broader scale in additional nations as well as at the continental level.
