Inertial deposition on front and rear sides of ribbons at intermediate and high reynolds numbers

Abstract: Deposition of particles from gas flows on ribbons is normally expected on the front side. Collision efficiencies of ribbons are presented for this case, obtained by means of single particle trajectory computation, which is based on numerically determined flow fields in the Reynolds number range between 2 and 50 and on the potential flow model.
